From Vimmerby you can cycle to the places where the famous Swedish children stories from Emil in Lönneberga and Barnen in Bullerbyn took place. Mariannelund, Katthult (which is actually called Gibberyd), and Bullerbyn (which was recorded in Sevedstorp), you can easily reach by bike.

• Cycle from Vimmerby to Sevedstorp (Bullerbyn), 17 km. The journey takes about an hour (depending on how fast you go!) and you can choose to cycle on small roads with little traffic. The red houses inspired Astrid Lindgren for her books about the children in Bullerbyn, and have also been used in the films. There is also a café here.

• Cycle to Katthult and the famous houses from Emil in Lönneberga. There is also a restaurant here, in the village called Gibberyd located 23 km from Vimmerby.
